We took this tour the first day we were in San Diego. Great way to get a glimpse of the city. Fascinating to see the military ships and learn a little about the function of each. The kids were bored after the first hour but the adults enjoyed.

Poor acoustics

The acoustics in the mid viewing level were very poor. Plus the tour guide didn’t have a good enough voice for the job. Need a second speaker.

Expensive for what you get.

I thought it was too expensive for what you get. The boat is old and didn’t seem very clean inside. There was trash and crumbs on some tables from the previous tour. Not a lot of room to sit outside unless you are some of the first to board the boat. Inside we couldn’t hear any of the narrating because it was so loud from people talking. We also didn’t realize if you want to see the sea lions you have to be on the north tour, we were on the south and didn’t see any wild life. I didn’t feel it was worth the money. It was ok but would probably look into another excursion the next time we are down there.

We enjoyed seeing the marine wildlife and hearing about the great history surrounding the harbor. The weather was fantastic and the tour pace was very good. I would take this tour again with other family and friends.

Great Harbor Tour
Robert_F
, Jun 2022
This was a most enjoyable excursion. The crew was friendly and very knowledgeable about the history and sites of San Diego Harbor. We liked the casual seating arrangements of tables and chairs rather than the structured benches of other vessels. And of course the weather was perfect. We definitely would recommend this tour!

The ship was nice. Tour guide knowledgeable. Interesting information. Comfortable seating. I would have like more information on the sea life, mostly military but I guess that’s San Diego.

Great family experience
Samantha_H
, Jun 2022
Great for family and kids and the morning was beautiful and quiet. It was a little hard to follow the narrator I wish I could have heard more stories about the area. I actually took a star off for the crew complaining - they were all sat next to the bar on their phones as we were docking saying "1 down 6 more to go" then stood outside waiting for tips- just sort of irked me. The boat and the view were Awesome though and full bar was a plus

Terrible tour. Would like a refund
Helen_H
, Jun 2022
Very overcrowded. Too many people on the ship do there were not enough seats. We left the harbor and had to turn back to let people off. And there was something wrong with the sound system so you could not hear the tour narration we paid for 2 hours but got off after one hour. We came back to the harbor to pick more people up onto sn already overcrowded tour. Horrible!!

Overrated, Do not recommend
Bobby_P
, Jun 2022
This tour is not one i would recommend to others. The boarding process was a mess and seemed unorganized. We ended up leaving 20 min late. We also chose this tour because it said it was handicap friendly. One person in our party uses a wheelchair. The boat had no restroom on the first floor where wheelchair users had to stay. How is that “friendly” for wheelchair users? And then to end, the tour didn’t even last an hour because of how late we started. Very disappointing for what was advertised and the price.
